Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere 318 will not turn over, john deere 318, neutral safety switch

Question
I have a John Deere 318 Model ID M00318X362379  - Onan Engine ID 8436-GA018/933503.  I have been using the tractor all summer.  Recent cold snap made it a bit harder to start.  After cutting half a lawn and shutting down, the ignition switch could not engage the starter.  Seat safety switch is new last year, neutral safety switch appears to be making (audible click).  I tried to jumper both the seat and the neutral switch with no success.  With Battery fully charged, ignition lites come on, but no starter.  Any thoughts or ideas to check.  Am I missing any of the safey switches.  Also wondering about the solenoid?  Any way to test?  Thanks

Answer
 Hello Gary:

Go to this Addy http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers 318 and Click Find. Then Click on the Model in the Search Results Area. Then Select Sectional View. Then Select Electrical. Then Select Wiring Harness, Circuit Breaker and Solenoid. The Circuit Breaker May be Bad. There are 2 Fuses Also that need to be Checked. Check for Voltage from the Ignition Switch to the Solenoid. If there is Voltage to the Solenoid from the Switch when the Switch is in the Start Position, then the Solenoid May be Bad. Jumper from the Battery Post of the Solenoid to the Small Post of the Solenoid. If the Starter Doesn't Turn, then the Solenoid is Bad. You can View the Complete mower from this Addy. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
