Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Water in cylinder, starter rope, plug hole

Question
What is the best way to remove water from cylinder? I borrowed the spark plug from my tiller to use in my pressure washer and forgot about it. Now when I pull the starter rope, I can tell water is on top of piston. I changed the oil but there is water still on top of piston. Any help would be appreciated. After this dumb stunt, I ought to be made to plow my garden using a mule.

Thanks,

Danny

Answer
Hey,
Sometimes stuff like that just happens!!!
There is a couple of things you can do! First drain the oil! Then if you have a shop vac, get some sort of hose that will fit through the spark plug hole and tape it to the shop vac & that should get most of it! After doing that take a clean rag & fold it & cover the spark plug hole & hold it tight to the cylinder & pull the starter rope repedely till no water shows up on the rag! It might not ba a bad idea to change the oil after the next you use it!
Hope this helps!
