Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snowthrower quits after 20 minutes, craftsman snowthrower, coil ignition

Question
I've got a 15 year old low end Craftsman snowthrower that met my fairly minimal needs with only a few replacements of worn snowthrowing parts until it quit running a couple of years ago.  The 2-cycle engine is a monumental pain to work on as it it pretty much impossible to access anything with the shroud on and impossible to test with the shroud off.  But I eventually figured out there was no spark, replaced the magneto, and it started.

OK until the first snowstorm when it ran for about 20 minutes, then quit and would not restart.  After it cooled off, it started and ran for another 20 minutes -- coughed, hiccoughed, quit, and wouldn't restart until it cooled off.

This pattern of running fine cold, but not when hot probably ought to suggest something to me, but I'll be darned if I can figure out what.  Vaporlock maybe?  But on a snowthrower?  What don't I know or what that I should know am I overlooking?

Answer
 Hello Donald:

Check the Gas Cap and Ensure it is Venting the Tank Properly. If the Cap is Good, Then Check for Fire at the Spark Plug when the Engine Quits. If No Fire, then the Coil/Ignition Module is Heating up and Grounding Itself. Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown for you to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
