Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding Mower stalls when I increase the gas lever, carburator, engine stalls

Question
Hi, I have a Craftsman Riding mower Model number
917.272350.  The mower starts fine but, when I move the gas lever to increase the gas intake, the engine stalls. In the Mid Postion the engine runs file.  Thanks in avance. TimC

Answer
 Hello Tim:

From your Description it Sounds like the Main Carburator Jet is Restricted with the Varnish that Gas Forms Over time. Using the Choke, can you make the Engine Try to Run at Full Throttle? I Suggest the Carburator be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Disassemle and Soak the Carburator Overnight and Blow Out All the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Rebuild Kit. Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown for you to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am here to help if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
