Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding mower tires, rim diameter, troybilt

Question
I have a Troybilt LTX 1842 riding mower. Since I cannot raise the deck any higher, I would like to get taller tires (turf friendly). Current front size is 15X6.00-6 and the rear are 20X8.00-8. I need at least one more inch in height and would be very happy with 2 more inches. What size can I get mounted to obtain the additionasl height?

Answer
 Hello Brian:

For More Height you will have to Increase the Rim Size. The Numbers are as Follows: 15 = Height, 6.00 = Width, 6 Rim Diameter. Your Local Tire Dealer May be Able to Locate a Tire the Size you Need. I Suggest a 17X6.50X6 for the Front and a 22X800X8 for the Rear if you can Locate them. If Not, then a Larger Rim is Required to Increase the Height of the Mower. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck
