Answer
 Hello Sam:

Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown for you to View Online. I will be Glad to Assist you All I can. From Your Description I Suggest you Check the Oil Level. Check the Crankcase Vent and Ensure the Vent is Working Properly. It Should have a Slight Rattle when Shaken. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
