Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): pull cord wont retract, recoil starter, recoil spring

1990 or so 4hp quantum briggs&stratten engine,I cannot get the pull start to recoil. when i pull the cord it wont retract

 Send me the Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown of the Engine and Recoil Starter and Better Assist you. The Recoil Spring May have Broken and Requires Replacing. Thanks.
