Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tecumseh carb on a craftsman 22, plyers, honest answer

Question
I found the plastic inlet elbow on this carb.leaking, due to two small cracks on the plastic, when I went to buy the piece from the local shop they gave me part #631807.Which also includes the metal sleeve,as one piece.I asked if they could tell me how to remove the old metal piece, but I didn't get an honest answer;( They told me the mech. was too busy )I tried pulling the old piece with plyers but this could damage it,in fact, it distorted it a little. Can I replace the plastic piece alone or do I need to replace the whole thing ? Would you be so kind to tell me the correct way of removing these piece and pressing the new one in.Thanks for your time and help, Reinaldo. Blessings !

Answer
 Hello Reinaldo:

You need the New Metal Sleeve. The Heat from the Engine makes the Plastic Stick to this Sleeve and is Almost Impossible to Remove and be Useable after it is Removed. That is why the New Sleeve is Included with the Plastic Part. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck
