Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): brakes, sectional index, break pads

Question
John Deere LT 133.. brakes will not work?

Answer
 Hello Albert:

1- The Brake Spring May be Off or Broken. 2- The Brake Pads May Require Adjusting. Adjustment of the Brake Pads are Done on the Transaxle where the Brake Assembly is Located. The Spring is Near the Transaxle Also. Go to this Addy http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Number LT133. Click on the Model in the Search Results. Then Click Sectional Index. Then Click Power Train. Then Click Transaxle Shifter, Brake and Case. You can see on the Breakdown the Adjusting Nut (#13) for the Brake Pads. Turn the Lock Nut Until the Brake Pads are Snug, then Reverse 1/4 Turn. You can Tweek the Break Pads to your Liking. A Breakdown Showing the Spring is Listed in the Steering and Brakes File, in the Clutch and Brake Pedal and Linkage Section. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
