Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 16 hp b&s single ohv white smoke intemittent, hello bill, headgasket

Question
I have a 16 b&s single ohv  about 7 years old. It has started blowing white smoke really bad a couple times now. More on a pull and incline. I back it off, turn off blades etc and it comes out of it.  Oil level is a little below full. breater good. (now is a little oil soaked.)  30 w oil and probably less than 5 hours on oil change.
Thank you in advance for any help !!!
Bill

Answer
 Hello Bill:

2 Things: 1- Check the Engine Oil for a Gas Smell. 2- Replace the Crankcase Vent. The Crankcase Vent is What Prevents the Oil from Being Sucked Into the Carburator when the Engine is on an Incline. If the Engine Oil Smells like Gas, Let me know, Please. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I Really Enjoy Knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Hello Bill:

I saw you Statement on the Comments. Yes Check the Headgasket. On the OVH Model Engines, the Headgasket will Blow Between the Cylinder and the Valves. When this Happens, you will have Compression Blow the Oil from the Crankcase. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.
