Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): husky mower, model numbers, brake pads

i have a husky mower and when i tried to put it gear to back out the garage it will not go just makes a granding nose

 From your Description I suggest Checking the Clutch/Brake Linkage. It sounds like the Clutch Idler isnt Releasing Tension from the Belt. Also the Brake Pads May Require Adjusting.
