Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD 317 lawn tractor, mower blades, lawn tractor

Question
Lawn tractor will not hold charge.  38 amps to stator. When it starts it shuts off after mower blades have been engaged for about 30 seconds.

 Is the Engine Starving for Fuel causing the Engine to Quit or is it Losing Fire to the Plug? Does the Engine Start Back up when this Happens? Send me the Numbers Off of the Mower and the Engine, Please. With the Numbers I can View a Breakdown of the Mower and the Engine and Better Assist you. Thanks.
