Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Poulan PPB100 Trimmer Pull Cord, poulan, engine assembly

Question
John,

I shut off my Poulan PPB100 Trimmer last week to change to my edger attachment. When I tried to restart it the pull cord mechanism seems to be jammed or something. The pull cord will only pull out about a half inch. I have taken the front of the main housing loose from the main engine compartment but can't get to the pull assembly. Any suggestions?

Answer
 Hello Tom:

Go to this Addy http://www.poulan.com/manuals_search.asp and Enter the Model Number. Download the File when the Folder Comes up with the File in it. Page 2 is a Breakdown of the Engine assembly. This will Assist you in Seeing how the Recoil Assembly is Removed. Some of these have a Torque Head Screw Inside the Clutch Drum(#49). The Screw is Located inside the Hole where the Trimmer Shaft Cable Inserts. Thats if it has a Screw. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
