Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): murry lawn mower stops running, starter fluid, gas tank

why does the mower stop running after a few minutes of cutting and wont recrank .. i put a new battery in and new starter and still it wont start .. it has plenty of gas and i had the carberator gasket replaced .. i cant figure out what next to do .. why does it stop running ?.. please help

 Hello Walt:

 Check the Gas Tank Cap and Ensure it is Venting the Tank. Check for Fire at the Spark Plug. Try to Start the Engine with Starter Fluid. If the Engine Starts and Quits, then the Carburator needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine and the Model Numbers off of the Mower, Please.
