QUESTION: i have a JD Sabre 15.542 lawn tractor. it runs fine but while it is running it starts blowing white smoke and we shut it off and check the oil and there is gas in the oil

This is a very common problem with these engines.  You have a carburetor that needs to be gone through and maybe even replaced.  Probably the needle isn't seating well, a good cleaning and rebuild will probably fix it.  About 1/4 of the time we have to replace carbs because they're just not fixable.  

I would not run this mower until I got this fixed.  You stand a good chance of busting a rod if you don't.  The gas will thin the oil and the oil wedge that the internal parts ride on will not hold up.  Let me know if you have any questions or need part numbers.  Thanks, PK.
