Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding mower wont start, 30 amp fuse, gas filter

Question
It works now !! It was the seat switch. The button on it was stuck. I replaced it [$10 ] & it now runs like new. Thanks for all the help. Betty

Question -
I am still having problems. It starts now but will not stay running. As long as I have my foot on the brake it runs. Take ft off--it dies. If I put the parking brake on it will idle great, I can even get off of it. It's not the seat switch, I've already checked that out. I've cleaned the 3 relays [replaced one]under the gas tank. Can you help me, please......Betty

Question -
I was mowing & the mower quit & will not start again. It will turn over but not start. I have: put in a new spark plug, new in line gas filter, new air filter, good gas, oil is fine, battery is charged up. Now what? There is a 30 amp fuse somewhere that I have not checked but I can't seem to find it.
It's a Craftsman 16OHV with a Kohlor engine. 42" cut. Betty

 Hello Betty:

I Require the Model Numbers Off the Mower and the Engine, Please. These will Allow me to Look up the Mower and Assist you Better.  Thanks.

Answer -
 Hello Betty:

If the Seat Safety is Good, then Remove the Cutter Deck. Check the Wiring Harness for Burnt or Bare Places where the Clutch/Brake Linkage Could effect the Harness when Moved. Usually the Seat Safety or a Bad Harness is the Cause of the Problem you Described. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
