Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): drive-belt replacement, self propelled lawn mower, blade blade

Question
I have a Sears 6.0 HP self-propelled lawn mower (model #917.377132). This is a front wheel drive model... I'm trying to replace the drive belt.

I'm able to remove the belt from the front pulley no problem...but there is a debri cover over the main pulley that I can't seem to remove...and this keeps me from removing the old belt and installing the new one.  How can I get this off without destroying it...?

Answer
On that model, you have to remove the blade bolt, blade, blade adapter and then the cover should come right off.

The hardest part is remove the blade adapter...usually you have to use a puller to remove the blade adapter.

Let me know if this helps.
