Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mantis Tiller, air fuel mixture, adjustment screws

Question
I can get it to run but I have to keep the choke about 1/2 out to keep it running. The carbrator adjustment screws will only let you turn them a small amount because of a plastic peice on the screw it self. Can you give me a clue what to do to get it to idle and run smooth again?

Answer
 Hello Ken:

From your Explaination of what is Happening, I Suggest you Clean and Rebuild the Carburatro. Over Time Gas Forms a Varnish and it Restricts the Flow of Gas through the Jets of the Carburator. The Caps are there to Keep the  Air/Fuel Mixture Screws Within Factory Settings. Send me the Model Numbers and I May be Able to Find a Diagram Online of this Tiller which will Assist you if you Decide to Rebuild the Carburator yourself. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
