Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftsman trimmer, gas tank, diaphragms

have a 25 cc craftsman trimmer.  replaced the gas tank with the
part from Sears and now the primer bulb wont fill up and the
sucker wont start. when I spray carb cleaner into the intake it starts
for a second then dies. I assume it is a fuel problem and am not
sure how to clean the primer, fuel line.  any ideas?

How old is the trimmer?  Is there one or two lines for the primer bulb?

You can dis-assemble and clean the carburetor fairly easy.  Just pay very close attention to how the gaskets and diaphragms are installed and do not loose the inlet needle arm spring.
