John:
I've been trying to post a follow-up all week but by the time I get home you're already maxed out. You must be a valuable man. I may have mislead you, I don't have a part # for the jug just the shortblock which I don't want. I was able to find out that the engine is the same as a homelite hbc30 engine.I've tried order tree, outdoor distributors, dixie sales, and m-and-d all I can get is a shortblock. If you have a part # or suggestion of another company that would be great.Or maybe I should try welding the jug and machining it. Eithor way thanks for all your assistance.

Question -
Hello John:
I went to outdoor distributors and they didn't have a listing for my model #(cs30). Also the other part #'s I have for the ring set(985607001)and rod assembly(pa00190) didn't even show on their search. I believe this engine is made by Homelite but I'm not sure. The only other #'s I can find on the weed eater are: RY30000 and s/n AG035243502-04. Thanks again for any assistance you can provide.

Question -
I know this is probably silly since I can replace my weedeater for about $100, but I prefer to repair than replace. I need a jug for a 30cc ryobi weedeater. I've been able to find rings and rod kit but can't find a jug wthout buying a complete shortblock. My local repair shops want twice the price for items I can find on-line. Can you refer me to a company that will sell me just a jug? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Answer -
 Hello James:

Try http://www.outdoordistributors.com/Ryobi/Ryobi_Search.html and be Sure to Have your Model Numbers. If they Dont have the Jug, then Email me Back with the Model Numbers and I May be Able to Locate One from my Suppliers. Some Suppliers Carry Short Blocks Only and Others Carry the Jug Alone,; it Depends on the Model Number of the Engine. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 John

 Hello James:

I Finally got a Response from Ryobi Outdoor. The Jug was Not Offered as a Stand Alone Part. The Only way to Aquire the Jug is by Getting the Short Block. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck
