Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda GC160 locked up, honda gc160, repair person

Question
Bought a new pressure washer. Arriving home, noted oil had streamed up into the air filter.
Cleaned filter and plug and added oil.  Turned over when I had the plug out and cleaned plug and oil filter with carb cleaner, and started and ran well about 1/2 hour. (after some initial smoking it ran fine)
Next week it started for about 20 secs then stopped. The plug and air filter look dry.   Now I am unable to pull the starter grip.  Even with the plug out, it's locked up and
the starter impossible to pull.
Appreciate any help including advise if I need to
hire a repair person.  The washer was $400 the
repair might be close to that?

Answer
Hi Ron
Dosen't sound good- step one would be to return this unit to where ever you bought it from (warranty).

Oil getting up into the air cleaner suggests this unit has a defective ring from the factory, and you shouldn't be expected to have to bear the repair costs on this.

How long have you had it?  Can you return it?
Lemme know-
