Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Weed trimer, stihl fs 85, fuel mix

I have a stihl fs 85 trimmer. was running fine and just quit.  when i tried to start it it was flooded.  the only way i could get it to run was take off the muffler. but when i would give it gas it would still flood out. I put a new carb kit in and i got the same results.  Never saw a 2 stoke that gets to much gas, usually its the other way around.  really could use some more ideas for i am tapped out  Thanks

Lets do the obvious first, anything that prevents a good fuel burn can produce symptoms like this.

1-New spark plug -
2-Clean/new air filter-
3-Verified fuel/mix

OK- if no results with those- I'd suspect the fuel pump diaphram of being stretched/distorted.

Lemme know on above and we'll go from there
