Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): eager-1 craftsman 6.75 hp push mulcher, plug gap, eager 1

Question
This mower was giving to me by a friend,it doesn't start,at first I was getting a spark at the tester between the spark plug and the wire, but I believed to be a weak one,(is one of those testers that has a light bulb),nothing comes on when I pull on the rope, also if I remove the plug there is no fuel or signs of gasoline getting to the cyl.My question is this, need to know the plug gap,how can I know if there is a kill switch and how can test the coil.I have no spark. Please help, and thank you very much for your advice. Regards, Reinaldo.

Answer
If you remove the top engine sheet metal you will see the coil.  Dis-connect the small wire connected to the coil and check for spark.  If you have spark the coil is good.

Plug gap is .030

Have you replaced the spark plug?
Will the mower start if you spray starting fluid directly into the carburetor?

Let me know.
