Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Craftsman 32cc weedwacker flooding, sears craftsman, fuel mixture

Question
I have a Sears Craftsman 32cc weedwacker.  It starts and runs fine but when I give it full throtle it seems to flood and die.  Is that something I can adjust with the High Speed mixture screw?  If so, do I adjust it clockwise or counter-clockwise?  Or do I have to mess with that other big screw (idle?)?  Or is it something else entirely.  Thanks.

Answer
Did the problem happen suddenly or has the trimmer sat a while?

Is the gas less than 30 days old?
How old is the trimmer?

You can try adjusting the fuel mixture needle out about an 1/8 of a turn.  If there is no difference in engine performance then the adjustment probably will not fix the problem.

Is the muffler and exhaust port clean?
Are there limiter caps on the carb mixture needles limiting how much you can turn them?

Let me know.
