Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh HMSK85, friction wheel, water remover

Question
I am having trbl starting my snowblower..I put it to full throttle like it says in Manual that came with it. The muffler sends out black smoke and backfires. I let it idle for a few minutes and the smoke goes away..I throttle back to keep it going the as soon as I put it full again it dies. I have changed the gas..oil and added gas Line Anti-freeze and water remover. Can you help. It was bought at Walmart at in 2002-2003 and I have had the friction wheel replaced

Answer
This the most common problem we get with snowblowers.

Have you removed, dis-assembled and cleaned the carb with compressed air from an air compressor?
Sometimes we have to clean the carbs a couple of times to get them to work correctly.
Let me know.
