Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tecumseh 8.0 adjustments, speed needle, fuel mix

hello eric, would you be able to tell me of the adjustment setting for both carb screws on a 3yr old tecumseh 8.0 hp snow king engine. ive asked locally and have gotten nowhere. ive tried 4 auto shops for books with no luck

Gently seat both needles by hand or using a small screwdriver.  The needles are tapered inside so DO NOT over tighten then.

Once gently seated, back them out 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns.  Start and warm the engine.
Once warm, set the throttle to idle and ajust the air/fuel mix need first.  Turn it in until the engine RPM slightly drops, then out until the engine runs rough.  Set the needle in the middle of these two spots.

Once the air/fuel mix needle is set place the throttle in full speed and adjust the high speed needle the same way.  Turn the needle in until the eninge RPM drops, then out until the engine starts to run rough.  For final adjustment set the high speed needle in the middle of the two points.
