Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftman mower starts but dies, fuel nozzles, float bowl

Question
I have a 3.5 hp Craftman lawnmover, model 917-383330.  The mower has sat for awhile.  The mover only runs for a few seconds after I push the choke bubble and then dies.  I received a carburator rebuild kit from Sears.  I've cleaned what I can in the carburator, replaced what I can see, taken apart what I can and the problem continues?  Help!  There is an idle screw in the rebuild kit but I can't find where it goes.

Answer
Will the mower continue to run if you keep pushing the primer bulb?

If so then there is something in the carburetor.  Are the the holes in the float bowl nut clean?  These are the main fuel nozzles/jets where the engine gets most of its fuel.

As for the idle screw, most Craftsman do not use it.
Did you use compressed air to clean the carb?

Let me know.
