Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro snowthrower 521, toro snowthrower, toro 521

Question
I have a Toro 521 Snowthrower. I was using it the other day and it was operating fine. I was about to make my final pass up my driveway, I engaged the auger and the engine stalled. It appears that the auger siezed and I can't get it to move although one side does have about an 1/8th of an inch of play the other side will not move at all. Please help we are about to slammed again tommorow and my back won't make it.

Hi TJ,

Sorry for my delay.  
Disconnect the belt so you can rotate the system.
Trace the drive path from the driven pulley through the 1st shaft to the gearbox and finally the front shaft.  Check the 3 bearings also.  Try to pinpoint the area that is binding or frozen.
