Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas leaking from carb, craftsman snowblower, seat kit

I have a 9hp craftsman snowblower.  This is the second time this year I have run it (its only a year old).  After filling the gas tank today I noticed fuel dripping rapidly from my carb near where the round door turns when you adjust the choke.  Any ideas welcome!  Of course we are getting 2 feet of snow today!

Hi Jim,

It sounds like a leaky float assembly.  You would need to buy a  needle and seat kit and maybe a float.  If you want to tackle this job, which is not too difficult, let me know.  You would need to get the model and serial numbers, inspect the carb, get the parts and do the repair.
