Honda HRA214 lawn mower purchased 1982: having problems with enging running after start up. engine sputters, and shuts off once placed in run position.

I changed the spark plug, and oil, and cleaned the filter.

It maybe the carberator, but I don't know where it is located.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Joe,
It is infact the carb. Look for anything connected to the air intake this will look like something with a mini cup underneath (could be round or flat). This is the carb. If you find it disassemble it and soak for 2 hours then run pipe cleaner through small and big holes in carb. Re-soak in fresh gasoline for 30 min. Hope this helps, get back to me on how this works out.
