Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): New Murray wont start, warranty dealer, battery cables

Question
I bought my 13.5hp Murray riding mower 2 weeks ago. That weekend, it worked fine over 4 hours of stop/start "family taking turns" mowing sessions in 90-degree heat. Yesterday, I take her out for a 30-minute mowing behind the house (also in 90-degree heat), and come back for a drink and rider/kid change. 10-minutes later, she won't start. All I get is a single, semi-loud 'click' (sounds like a hammer hitting hollow metal) which is sometimes followed by a 3-second wheezing sound. The oil level is normal; battery cables & connections are still spotless. Even bought a new battery and made sure it was charged. Still no luck. Any ideas?  (Could the starter have died due to the heat?)  Thanks!  Jim

Answer
I could suggest a possible solution but if it is only 2 weeks old, I recommend you leave any repairs to the authorized warranty dealer.  You wouldn't want to risk voiding the warranty by attempting to fix it yourself.  If you have been using it normally, there is no good reason it should be broken and you shouldn't have to be responsible for repairing it.  Hope this helps.
