Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawnmower, self propelled lawnmower, assosiated

Question
I have a Craftsman self propelled lawnmower modle #917572232 if that helps any. I had some bad gas in an it would not stay running. I could prime it an it would run until it burned off that gas. So I took it apart, cleaned the carburtor an all assosiated pieces. Put it back togther and it wont even prime any more. I put a little gas in the carburtor an it will crank up just enought to burn off that gas. Is there something that I'm missing or is some why to manual prime the carburtor to get the gas coming from the tank? Or is my carburtor bad?

Answer
Hi Leo,

Sorry for my delay.  My ISP was down.

First make sure that the primer bulb doesn't have a rip or leak.  Next, I would suspect that the carb has dirt, debris or gummed fuel in it.  You will need to remove the carb, disassemble and clean all the small openings, then blow it out with compressed air.

Let me know how you make out.
