Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Engine wont start, briggs straton engine, generac pressure washer

Question
Marc, I have a Generac pressure washer that won't stay running. It has had VERY little use.
Intek 6hp, Briggs & Straton engine, 121432-0021-E1
The engine would't start, it had not been run for quit awhile so I took the carburator apart, soaked it, replaced the needle & seat, and air intake gasket (torn). It still wouldn't start so squirted starter fluid in carb., it started for one second then quit. I've checked the plug, intake & exhaust valves movement and find nothing wrong. It it sits for 15 minutes it usually startes for one second than quits. It is always on full choke to get it to start. It just seems to be insufficient fuel but I don't know where to go except to replace the carb.
Your thoughts?

Answer
If you have thoroughly cleaned the carb, including using a piece of tag wire to push through all of the passages, and it will start on a squirt of fuel, the carb still isn't getting fuel.  First thing I suggest is loosen the fuel tank cap and try it.  If the vent for the tank is plugged there can be insufficient fuel flow to allow it to run.  If this helps, you will need to clean or replace the vent (usually right in the cap).  If this doesn't help, you will need to get back in to the carb and find the blockage.  Hope this helps.
