Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): charging system, kolher engine, regulater

i have a 20 HP kolher engine on a wheelhorse rideing mower the charging system isn't working
the new parts are as follows, new stater,battery,rectifier, and regulater! would the crank censor cause it not to start or charge the battery?  thanks ron

Ron, sounds as if you covered you system well.....Magnets in the Flywheel??? Good??? If all the parts are new, you should be getting something at the battery. Discharge the battery (lights or something ) to 11 volts, and run the engine. You should get/see 13 volts AC measured across the Batt term's. If not, double check all the wiring. Go direct from the red lead from the reg/rect to the Batt + and see what the charge rate in volts are.....let me know what happens,,,,,Bob
