Snowmobile Repair: is there a general snowmobile repair school, snowmobile manufacturer, snowmobile repair

Question
I am currently in small engine repair school in Little Rock Arkansas and I wish to attend a snowmobile repair school.

Answer
Hello Clyde,

I am very sorry for the delay in my response, which is very unprofessional, but unfortunately I have not been here to read my Allexpert questions. As far as snowmobile training, if you were to go to somewhere such as Minnesota State College http://www.minnesota.edu/programs/outdoor_power_and_snowmobile_technology/ they have a very good snowmobile program. My recommendation would be to take 2 years in mechanics, and them go to Polaris or another snowmobile manufacturer, and become a certified technician with them. If you are interested in becoming a self employed snowmobile repair technician, you will probably want to just start working at a small town shop, I have a good friend that loved working on sleds, so he just started fixing his friends, now he has a business that is worth many, many thousands. Another program to look at is this one from Cat, http://alextech.org/marinesmallengine/pages/arcticcat.htm   .  I hope I have helped you. I hope you are very successful in a career in snowmobile repair, it's a good job! Let me know if you have any other questions, and I'll be glad to help an anyway. Good luck! --Arcticatman
