Answer
Hello Frank,

I believe you recently contacted me about a 70's Kawasaki Drifter, Asking for the fuel oil ratio? It should have the 340 motor. As far as it being smokey, since it's summer, and the sleds are jetted for 23 degrees or colder, it'll smoke a bit in warm weather. There is a few things you can do to reduce the smoke, use synthetic blend oil or better, such as Amsoil at a 20:1 ratio. Make sure you have good plugs,If you give me your engine model no. I can tell you what the propper plugs are. If you're fouling plugs, you may need to adjust the carb to lean it out. As far as the track not moving, It is generally always either the belt or clutch, I would recommend replacing the belt first. The clutch becomes rusty, generally, and get's ruff, which will cause pre mature belt failure. If you install a new belt, don't be surprised if it doesn't last long, you'll have to go through a few, until the clutch gets smooth. You can get good quality cheap parts at these sites: www.alssnowmobile.com , or www.mfgsupply.com . I hope this helps you, feel free to ask any other questions you might have. Good luck with the sled! Arcticatman
