Steering Column Repair: 1964 Chevy Chevelle Turn Signal Cam, chevy impala parts, turn signal switch

Question
Hello.

I have a 1964 Chevy Chevelle.  It is equipped with a non-tilt column shifter for the 2 speed power glide tranny.  My right turn signal was not engaging properly.  When a slight amount of pressure was applied to the turn signal lever, it would work.  So I took the steering wheel off as well as the turn signal assembly to see what the trouble was. The problem is the pieces from the end of the wiring harness fell out and I cannot see to figure out how they go back in. It appears that as the turn signal cam moves, it creates a contact of these pieces which in turn makes activates the proper signal.  I can't seem to put them back in the correct way to make is work properly.  Do you have any idea how they go back in?  Or do you have a reference for me to see?  I imagine if I saw a picture of it properly assembled, I could make it work.

Thank you so much for your time.  It is greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Jeremy:
1964 is about when I started working on columns, but I don't have any good pictures myself of these old ones.  I found this site that should be able to help provide you with some pictorial help as well as parts if yo need them

I hope this helps...cut and paste the entire link
