Steering Column Repair: steering column, chevy s10, tilt steering

Question
how do you remove a non-tilt steering column shroud on a 1991 chevy s10? I have removed steering wheel, all bolts,ignition switch cylinder and lock ring.Everything is lose but shroud wont come off so i can replace ignition switch.

Hi James:
Are you replacing the ignition switch (electrical part) or the lock cylinder (key part)?
In either case, you do not need to remove the lock housing or lower shroud!!
I will watch for your reply & then I can give you step by step instructions
