Steering Column Repair: Ford Excursion Steering column/ignition lock, wheel drive wheels, ford excursion

What is required to replace transponder,ignition switch cylinder??? Locksmith,dealer, Sunday out of town no one open (Ford dealer/service) 2000 4 wheel drive, wheels turned left 30 degrees and locked in this position. OKC Ok.

Hi Bruce:
there are two methods that I know of...either a dealer or a very accomplished locksmith with the right scanner and access to the Ford database.
The new transponder has to be reprogrammed as do all the keys and all of that is done through the DLC connector with a scan tool ONLY.  there are no shortcuts on this one, sorry
