Steering Column Repair: turn signal or flasher? 97 buick, turn signal switch, buick century

turn signal stopped...worked again for 1 day(at extreme speed)then stopped completely...(4-way is fine)Is it the switch or the flasher?    '97 buick century

Well It does sound like the flasher, because you still have operation in the switch itself, now I'm not positive but I don't think the flasher is replaceable, I believe it's in the switch. So you may need to replace the switch. I could be wrong, sorry but I know that that style turn signal switch they started in the truck back in 95, have always given problems.
