Steering Column Repair: pont montana steering wheel locked up, steering wheel, little bit

hello, my steering wheel is permenatly locked up. its like not having the right key nither key will turn at all. what do i do? i just got it back from the shop only 3 weeks ago i cannot afford another 3000 dollars in repairs yet i need my van.

Hello Staci,
Your ignition lock failed on you. It won't be another 3000 dollars to fix it. But, I would call around to some local shops to get a decent quote to replace the lock assembly. I estimate in the $75 to $200 range depending on the cost of living rate in your area. Save a little bit by going to the parts store and buy the part yourself.
