Steering Column Repair: Low/High Beam Switch, 1994 chevy 1500, metal arm

Question
I cannot seem to turn bright lights on ...now I took apart the few peices along side the colum and I see the little rod that if you click it it turns them on high and Low. My question is I am not sure where that metal arm attaches to so it can connect to the arm of the blicker so I can click it. A diagram showing me how it should look would be the best help cause I am proboly not explaining what I need to do to you properly. I havent found any pictures of the colum diagram on the net so far. Its a 1994 chevy 1500 4x4 sigle cab pickup.

Answer
Hello Ken,
Here is a diagram of a column similar to yours. Note number 75 in the picture. It is the shoe that sits at the other end of the rod that is actuated and makes contact with the lever. It sits within the upper bowl cover. It is also a pain to keep in place while reassembling the column by yourself. Once you get it apart, you will probably see it sitting there.

Hope that helps.
