Subaru Repair: check engine light, subaru forester, dead battery

Question
hi there,
i have a 1998 SUBARU FORESTER L
Engine:   2.5L H4 PFI DOHC 16V with automatic transmission. i have almost 90,000 miles on it. last december, i needed to have the fuel sensor replaced. the problems began when the car would hesitate a little as i would accelerate...i might need to pump the gas pedal a little. within a week, i could barely drive without it dying every time i came to a stop. ok,,,that was then.
so, for the past couple of weeks, it's been a subtle form of the same problem. yesterday, the check engine light came on. today, i stopped somewhere for 15 minutes, and had a dead battery when i tried to start my car.
any thoughts? i appreciate your insight (in advance).

(sorry i'm wordy)

Answer
1st thiing you will need to do is get the check engine light scanned and find out what the code is. That may lead you to where the problem is. As far as the battery being dead in 15 minutes, sounds like you might need a new battery, recommend having it tested.
