Subaru Repair: Which fuse?, outback wagon, fuse box

Question
I have a 2,000 outback wagon.  While camping i used a power converter in
the ash tray lighter.  I believe the wires crossed and i see now the lighter does
not work.  Do you know which of the fuses would control this device, so i can
replace it?.  Or is there another issue?

Hello Mark,

 If you have an owners manual, you'll find the fuse information on page 12-6. Check the power mirrors and see if they work. They are on the same fuse circuit. If the power mirrors work then you have another problem. If you don't have an owners manual handy the fuses are located behind the change door located to the left of the steering column. Pull that door completely out and you'll see the fuse box. There are 3 vertical rows of fuses. The one you are looking for is located 4th one down on the right hand side as you look at the fuse box. Also known as the #4 location. I hope this helps.
