Subaru Repair: 92 Legacy Wagon stalling/power loss, sticky valves, legacy wagon

Question
I'm also having stalling/lack of power problems, just recently. When needing to accelerate up a steep hill, and hitting the gas hard (not necessarily to the floor) the engine begins to dramatically lose power, the engine begins to stutter, and on some occassions stall. This has been very dangerous when doing 120 Kmh on the freeway and the car powers down to 15 or 20 Kmh. I have had it serviced once, at the dealership, diagnosed as a faulty fuel pump and the repair was made. The problem went away for a few months and has again returned. The car has only 150000K on it even though it is a '92. I bought it from my sister who drove it very little for almost 7 years as she would walk to work.

Answer
What we see a lot of for that year and mileage is sticky valves.Where the valve stem actually hangs up in the guide momentarily. The proper fix is a valve job but you can try an engine oil flush and additive with synthetic oil to try and help the situation.Hope that helps
