Subaru Repair: knock sensor location on 96 subaru outback legacy 2.5l, knock sensor location, outback legacy

Question
Where is the knock sensor located in a 96 subaru outback legacy 2.5L??  I have a chilton and it says it is right on top, but I can't seem to find it anywhere...any suggestions?

Its bolted to the block below the intake on the drivers side ,its a little black sensor with a white connector.On your 96 2.5l outback this is not a easy task be VERY careful not to strip out the bolt hole in the block when you re install the sensor
