Subaru Repair: Airbag warning light, warranty repair, warning light

Question
I am getting a red Airbag warning light on my display.
Is this a no charge dealer fix for safety equipment?
also my cruise control does not work, maybe related to the
airbag as both are under the steering wheel? thanks for the advice.

Answer
Depending on year, make, and model, and whats wrong, the air bag problem may be related to cruise control and it may not cost anything to repair. Most dealers are going to expect to be paid for some diagnosis time, and then if it is a warranty repair, you would then not be asked to pay for that time, since warranty will pick up the entire cost. But, if it is not warranty, then they would expect to be paid for diagnosing your concern, and for fixing it if you wanted them to fix it.
