Towing Issues: flat tow or dolly towing, tow dolly, flat tow

Question
I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma 2 wheel drive. Can I flat tow this vehicle (Or use a tow dolly). The owners manual says not to?
Is there bearings in the tranny that need lubricating?

this is not my area of expertise, but since it is a 2 wheel drive vehicle, that means that the rear end is the drive end, and you can load it backwards onto the dolly and secure the steering wheel so that it does not turn.  You should be good to go that way.  Just like how we tow them commericially.
