QuestionWhat would happen to a towing storage facility in the state of Texas that failed to send notice of abandonment to a law enforcement agency under chapter 683,Transportation Code. The first and second notice's were sent, storage lien finished and the car was sold at public sale?
There is many more cars with storage lien's finished without the notice to law enforcement that have not been sold what do I do with them?
AnswerWell I am betting that the agency which regulates towing in Texas, TDLR, would have a field day with fines if the rules where not being followed...
There are tons of new rules, regulations and guidelines for Texas and I try to keep up but they change so fast, and the other issue is that I have heard where the rule says one thing and TDLR says that it means another thing. And if you ask another TDLR employee then it is different again.
Not a good deal there but I hear they are trying to get it right.
