Towing Issues: who s at fault, parking sticker, dash board

My car was towed from my apartment parking lot cuz the didn't see my parking sticker.When i called the company they said sticker wasn't there and so i told them it'son the passenger side dash board and they found it then.I nver took cover paper off tostick to windshield mirror and i had to driver miles to retrieve my car.I was not charged forthem towing it but they were at fault for notsearching for not seeing the sticker on dash board.Do i have a case?

If the decal was not applied to the window then the towing company would not be responsible if your vehicle was towed. If they did not charge you then you got off good. I don't see any grounds for a civil suit. The towing company was acting in good faith.
